A few years ago we took a "Mitten Tour," something I named our vacation around the perimeter of Michigan (the lower peninsula is shaped like a mitten). We didn't make it around the entire perimeter, but did most of the way. It was a glorious vacation. Michigan is a beautiful state. Many of these photos are from that tour (all of the lighthouse ones, for example).
